Titusville police said officers were called to a home and found 17-year-old Drayontai Mason and 25-year-old Teressa Henderson, both of Titusville, suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died, according to police.
The father of the teen said his son was playing a video game in a bedroom when he was struck by gunfire.
A third shooting victim, an 18-year-old man, drove himself to the hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, according to police. He was in stable condition, according to authorities.
School officials said the Mason was a student in its adult education program but withdrew in October.
“Brevard Public Schools is saddened by this senseless tragedy. We want to share our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of those killed in (Wednesday) night’s shooting,” a statement from BPS said.
Video from the scene shows several bullet holes in the home and nearby cars. More than 20 evidence markers were placed in front of the house by investigators.
