Human remains, missing Oviedo woman’s car found in Orange County

Deputies found Julie Noppinger’s car Wednesday, but have not yet identified the remains

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office says a missing Oviedo woman’s car was located Wednesday night, with unidentified human remains nearby.

Deputies announced their search for 37-year-old Julie Noppinger, last seen Feb. 26 in the area of Alafaya Trail driving a 2013 red Nissan Altima, over a week ago.

According to deputies, Noppinger’s car was found Wednesday in a parking lot on E. Colonial Drive in Orlando. The sheriff’s office said human remains were located nearby in a wooded area, but have not been identified at this time.

New photos shared by the sheriff’s office Wednesday afternoon showed Noppinger at a Shell gas station near Walmart on 11250 E. Colonial Drive where she was last seen.

Investigators said the car had a Florida tag reading NPQA35.

Detectives said the case has now been taken over by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
