Motorcycle rider dies after Brevard County crash, FHP says

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A 29-year-old man was killed after a crash in Titusville on Monday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the man, who was riding a motorcycle without a helmet, was pronounced deceased at Parrish Medical Hospital.

The man was traveling southbound on Sisson Road, approaching Grissom Parkway, and began passing southbound traffic in a marked no-passing zone, records show. Troopers said he entered the northbound lane of Sisson Road.

The rider ended up hitting the front of a 2010 Nissan Altima as the driver was making a U-turn to travel northbound on Sisson Road, around 6:26 p.m.

The crash remains under investigation.
