According to police, Unique Baynard, 28, was sitting in the rear driver’s side of a white car when he shot at the 46-year-old victim who was driving to work Tuesday morning.

The victim was not hit or injured but his car was damaged, according to police.

The suspect vehicle hit an object during the shooting before fleeing the area, the department said. It was later found due to a trail of liquid leading police to where it was parked.

Police said Baynard told officers he believed the victim was following him but there was no evidence to support that.

He faces a charge of attempted murder.
