A man was hospitalized Sunday in a shootout near Coastline Park in Sanford, officials said.
Police said a man was found suffering from a gunshot wound around 5 a.m. near 9th Street and U.S. 17-92.

The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition, authorities said..
According to police, a preliminary investigation shows that shots were exchanged between two parties.
