CASSELBERRY, Fla. – Casselberry police believe they have nabbed a man who held a woman captive for days, tying her up and beating her repeatedly, according to a news release.
Officers arrested Billy Atkins, 50, on Wednesday.

Police said they were called to Hometown Studios hotel at 210 N. Oxford Road on Tuesday just after 10 a.m.

“I got a lady here screaming, naked, about a dude,” a caller to 911 said in a recording released by police. “He’s actually taken off and she said he had knife.”
Multiple people called emergency dispatchers, all reporting a naked woman screaming for help.
“This is a really bad situation,” another caller to 911 said.
Officers found a woman lying in the parking lot, badly beaten, saying that she had been held captive for days by Atkins in a hotel room, according to a news release.
“They’re bringing her a sheet and stuff,” the 911 caller said as witnesses tried to help the victim.
The woman was taken to the hospital. Investigators have not said what her condition is.
Police did not say where Atkins was found or whether he and the victim knew each other.
He faces charges of attempted murder, kidnapping/false imprisonment and battery by strangulation.
