Ocoee police look for killer after man shot to death in front of his family

Offering $10,000 reward for information on Mugen Pintar’s fatal shooting on May 15

OCOEE, Fla. – Police have increased the reward for any information about a shooting that killed a 33-year-old man in Ocoee two months ago.

Ocoee police said a $10,000 is being rewarded to anyone with information that could lead to an arrest in the fatal shooting that occurred around 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, in the area of Little Aspen Court.

Upon arriving at the Ocoee home, officers said they found Mugen Pintar shot and in critical condition. The husband and father was taken to a hospital, where he later died, investigators said.

“Mr. Pintar was home with his family, his wife and his children when he was shot,” said Lt. Mireya Iannuzzi. “We’re hoping the public has something — that missing piece we’re looking for.”

Ocoee police investigators believe someone may have seen or heard something the evening of May 15, though the department said no arrests have been made at this time.

When asked about a motive, investigators said, “We’re following up some leads on it. However, it’s so important that the public comes forward.”

Pintar’s family said he was a professional barber who also went by the name “Chino.” While the family is asking for privacy, they said they want justice.

“He was a good guy, worked on his car,” said neighbor Becky Hanley.

Anyone with information relating to this case is urged to contact the Ocoee Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit by calling 407-905-3161 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-8477 to remain anonymous. Anyone who submits information to Crimeline leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $10,000.
