SANFORD, Fla. – A man shot and killed his landlord during an eviction dispute and critically injured another man Thursday at a home in Sanford, according to police.
Officers arrested 51-year-old Andre Crist in connection with the shooting, which happened in the 100 block of Anderson Circle, about a half mile away from Goldsboro Elementary School.

Sanford police later identified the man who was killed as 38-year-old Cliff Perard.
Officers said Perard and the other victim were at the home to evict Crist, who was renting the property.
Investigators believe Crist and Perard got into an argument in the backyard which ended with Crist shooting the two men. The second victim has not been identified and was taken to a hospital, police said.
Police said Crist ran from the home after the shooting.
Family members at the scene said Perard was a working father and husband. According to the family, the two shooting victims were cousins.
Crist faces charges of first-degree homicide and attempted homicide.
