With nearly a thousand people moving to Florida every day there are bound to be some gaps in state knowledge.

If you answered all 3 of those questions correctly then chances are you have generations of Florida blood running through your veins.
In case you are wondering, Florida became the 27th state on March 3, 1845. This year Florida is expected to have 22 million residents making it the 3rd most populous state in the country.
The official state bird is the Northern mockingbird. Be honest, didn’t you think the answer was flamingo?

They want to know what you know about the state so many people love to berate.
For this special edition, Matt and Ginger tapped a local trivia guru. If you’ve lived in Central Florida long enough and love trivia night, then you have probably run into Steve Griffiths as a host or a competitor. Steve is also a longtime member of the production team at WKMG-TV. He works alongside Matt and Ginger during the evening newscast and is affectionately known as the studio-wise guy. At least that’s what they are allowed to call him before human resources have to get involved.
His deadpan delivery as a trivia host makes him the perfect man for the job. Steve writes his own questions so he has asked we not dispute his trivia authority.
