ORLANDO, Fla. – A Downtown Orlando business owner is set to give away wigs throughout October to help spread breast cancer awareness, according to a release.

Martin “Leigh Shannon” Fugate, owner of Ritzy Rags Wigs & More, a wig store along Edgewater Drive, partnered with two wig companies to provide wigs to qualified cancer patients who are low on fund during cancer treatments, the release says.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and Fugate wanted to give special recognition to that fact, the release states.

“Since all patients have different personalities, Leigh helps guide customers on finding what works best for their personality type so that they can look and feel their best, helping to present themselves as confidently as possible during this emotional process,” the release reads.

Fugate has been in business for over 35 years, and he offers special discounts for medical-grade wigs to cancer patients. The release says he is also well known for his role in “Leigh Shannon’s Cabaret Dinner Show,” a drag performance at Hamburger Mary’s on Church Street.

Anyone interested in applying for a free wig can email the store at ritzyragsemail@aol.com.
