MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Marion County is collecting hurricane relief donations to help communities throughout Florida hit by Hurricane Ian.
The collection drive runs through Oct. 22.

The items most needed are: non-perishable/dry goods, water, clothing, personal hygiene items, baby and pet care-related items (i.e. diapers, formula, wipes), insect repellant, batteries, cleaning supplies, paper goods, tarps and towels.

The Marion County Board of County Commissioners, Fire Rescue and Sheriff’s Office will be receiving donations at the following locations.
- Marion County Administration, 601 SE 25th Ave., Ocala
- Marion County Animal Services, 5701 SE 66th St., Ocala
- All Marion County Fire Rescue locations
- Marion County Growth Services, 2710 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala
- Marion County Parks & Recreation Main Office, 111 SE 25th Ave., Ocala
- Brick City Adventure Park, Activity Center, 1211 SE 22nd Road, Ocala
- Forest Community Center, 777 S. Highway 314A, Ocklawaha
- K.P. Hole Park, 9435 SW 190th Ave. Road, Dunnellon
- All Marion County Public Library System locations
- Marion County Sheriff’s Office Main Office, 692 NW 30th Ave., Ocala
- Marion County Sheriff’s Office North Multi-district Office, 8311 N. Highway 441, Ocala
- Marion County Sheriff’s Office South Multi-district Office, 3260 SE 80th St., Ocala
- Marion County Solid Waste, 5601 SE 66th St., Ocala
- Marion County Utilities, 1800 SE U.S. Highway 441, Belleview
- Southeastern Livestock Pavilion, 2232 NE Jacksonville Road, Ocala
The state has also created the Florida Disaster Fund as the official private fund to help the recovery of Florida communities.
