SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – The help continues for so many families across Central Florida after Hurricane Ian.
News 6 obtained video of the path Rabbi Yanky Majesky and others from Nate’s Shul synagogue in Longwood traveled by boat Sunday through a Sanford neighborhood.
They wanted to get results for a family whose home is still partially flooded.

“There’s a family here, friend of ours who were unable to get out of their house because of the flood. Look at this. Look at this. This is their street,” said Rabbi Makesky in the video.
A woman in the video was all tears Sunday as the Rabbi visited her family to take part in a special prayer and ceremony with them as part of their Jewish tradition.
The rabbi said it was to remind the family, they’re not forgotten. He said he also wanted to bring joy and peace to this family despite devastation from Hurricane Ian.
Bob Ray also lives in the community along the St John’s River. He said it’s been that support from others that’s kept he and his family smiling.
“You don’t realize how tough it is because you’re so focused on getting things done, but then little acts of kindness really bring the tears. You know school kids writhing you a little card,” said Ray.
News 6 watched as people used tractors, canoes and large vehicles to get to and from their homes down Missouri Avenue in Sanford.
It’s a barrier for many families, but many say it’s the only way they can get to and from their homes.
Until the water recedes, Ray told News 6 he’s been driving his SUV through about 4.5 feet of water.
