Deputies ID man who died after being found shot in crashed car in Orange County

Up to $5K reward eligible for anyone with information on the Stardust Lane fatal shooting

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies identified a man who had been shot inside of a crashed car and later died of his injuries Thursday evening, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office announced in an update.

Investigators said they responded to the 6700 block of Stardust Lane at 7:44 p.m. after receiving reports about a car crash.

Orange County deputies identified the victim as 18-year-old Jessiah Pharrell Boyd, pictured above. (Orange County Sheriff's Office)

Upon arrival, deputies said they found a man, later identified as 18-year-old Jessiah Pharrell Boyd, shot inside the crashed vehicle.

The man was taken to the hospital, where he later died, deputies said.

No further details were provided about what led up to the crash or any possible suspects.

Deputies urge anyone with information on the shooting to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS for a reward of up to $5,000.
