Man injured in Orange County drive-by shooting, deputies say

Shooting occurred near 1300 block of S Highland Ave.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A man was injured in a drive-by shooting in Orange County Thursday morning, the sheriff’s office said.

The shooting occurred around 7 a.m. on the 1300 block of S. Highland Ave., just east of Clarcona Road, according to deputies.

Bullet holes could be seen in a home and in a mailbox at the crime scene.

Deputies said they found a man in his 30s with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after he was shot on the street by someone in a vehicle.

The sheriff’s office has not shared any information about the suspect.

One neighbor News 6 spoke to said the latest shooting has compelled them to move, because they’ve had enough of hearing gunshots.
