🤠Nudists, cowboys and hate mail topics in Florida’s Fourth Estate podcast

Show hosted by News 6 anchors Matt Austin and Ginger Gadsden

ORLANDO, Fla. – It’s not new. Florida’s Fourth Estate vodcast (video podcast) has been hosted by News 6 anchors Matt Austin and Ginger Gadsden for about four years now.

“This is a show where we select the topics, we select the guests, there’s no teleprompter. It’s more casual and direct so you get to know who we are,” said Matt.

“When you peel off the layer of formality, you get more of who we are and I don’t think that’s a bad thing,” Ginger added.

Florida’s Fourth Estate brings you the headlines and stories unique to the sunshine state in a nontraditional way. Matt usually hosting from his home, making things more casual. What you don’t see is where Matt is sitting. It’s no office.

“The magic happens in my kids’ play room. Sometimes I’ll find a hair thing or fake fingernail sitting on my desk. This is where I host the show from,” said Matt.

It’s an explosion of pink. Everything from a dollhouse filled with small toys to books. Even a pink kitchenette set. (Can you tell Matt’s a #girldad?)

“When I’m on camera, I try to keep that out of the background. I mean, look at these pink seats. I’m negotiating for new office chairs for dad... and it’s not going so well,” said Matt.

Matt and Ginger are no strangers to cameras and microphones, they anchor the news every day. But for Florida’s Fourth Estate, they’re the ones in control, pushing all the buttons.

Florida’s Fourth Estate offers some good hearty news, but sometimes include unique topics and off the cuff conversation with guests.

“I just enjoy not knowing what’s going to come out of Matt’s mouth. I work off of that energy,” said Ginger.

“We have John Morgan on sometimes and we have to have the bleep button ready. Just people who are genuine. We even had a nudist on the show,” said Matt.

“We had a legit cowboy on and he was very good at the sport, so humble, and cute,” laughed Ginger.

Before getting to the main topic and guests of the show, Matt and Ginger get you caught up on the top stories of the week. From time to time they’ll get personal, sharing some hate mail and bloopers.

“If there something that’s grabbing headlines in Florida, we’re going to grab that subject and unpack it in something that’s longer than one minute 30. It’s going to be fun and I hope that we can bring a show that will give you little tidbits, you’ll learn some things and you might laugh,” said Ginger.
