Myers was a fourth-grade student at Sunrise Elementary School, where there were grief counselors Monday and Tuesday, a school spokesperson said.

“I can tell you that he had a heart of service. He was always fun to be around and very kind,” Cathy Balius, principal of Sunrise Elementary, said of Myers in a statement. “I loved his sense of silliness and ability to talk with just about anyone.”
