Deputies were called to the home and found Glover suffering from a gunshot wound. Glover was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to deputies.

An incident report released Tuesday shows that Glover was with his brother and two other friends at the home. Glover’s brother then tried to pass the handgun to one of the other friends without realizing it was loaded, and the firearm went off, the report shows.

A preliminary investigation shows the shooting was accidental. After the shooting, everyone involved remained at the scene, deputies said.

Orange County Public Schools confirmed that Glover attended Jones High School.

Principal Orlando Norwood sent a message to parents, notifying them of the shooting death.

“This is Principal Norwood calling, with some very sad news to share,” he said. “Today I was notified of the tragic death of one of our students. ...Our thoughts and prayers are with the family as they go through this extremely difficult time.”

Norwood said grief counselors will be available at the school.

No information was provided on possible arrests or charges involved in this case.

An investigation is ongoing.
