Shavon Pearson, 38, an instructional coach at Seminole High School Ninth Grade Center in Sanford, was arrested on charges of trafficking more than 4 grams of fentanyl.
Sanford police said officers received the 911 call around 1:30 a.m., with the caller reporting that a woman driving a red Dodge Charger pointed a gun at him or her. It’s not known what prompted the incident.
Officers located the vehicle near Academy and Carver avenues and conducted a traffic stop, police said.
Authorities said Pearson was the only person in the car, where officers spotted a cannabis blunt in the center console. A search of the car revealed 8 grams of fentanyl, a loaded 9mm handgun and one gram of cannabis, police said.
