ORLANDO, Fla. – Police have identified the three people killed early Sunday, including two children, after a shootout between police and a domestic violence suspect who died as a result, according to Orlando police Chief Eric Smith.
According to the Orlando Police Department, the victims are 69-year-old Carole Fulmore, 13-year-old Damionna Reed and 7-year-old Cameron Bouie.
Officers responding to a domestic violence incident arrived to the home around 2:28 a.m. — located in the area of Parramore Avenue and Grand Street — and reported hearing shots fired as soon as they got there, Smith described at a news conference.

“A suspect walked out of the house, walked towards the officers, shot at the officers, the officers returned fire and the suspect fell,” Smith said. “We detained the suspect, who later was deceased. We cleared the house and in the house we found three people who were shot. OPD itself transported a young child to the hospital who died upon arrival at the hospital. So we have three victims who came out of the house and the one suspect that we shot.”
The suspect was identified Sunday afternoon as 28-year-old Lacorvis Tamar Daley, according to police. The department said in a statement that Daley was responsible for the homicide of the three individuals located inside of the home.
Police said Daley and all of the victims lived at the home where the shooting happened.
According to OPD, the 7-year old victim was Daley’s son and the 13-year-old victim was the daughter of Daley’s girlfriend. The 69-year-old victim was the mother of the suspect’s girlfriend, police said.
The suspect’s girlfriend called 911 to report the shooting after her mother called about a disturbance taking place at their home. His girlfriend was not at the house when the shooting took place, police said.
Joanne Capel, a neighbor, told News 6 that one of the victims inside the house actually reached out to her for help.
“I didn’t get to the phone in time. I looked up, she texted me ‘Call police, he’s shooting,’” Capel said. “I’m kind of upset that even though I called the police, I still couldn’t help her (...) this was the sweetest lady you’ll ever meet.”
Dr. Maria Vazquez, Superintendent of Orange County Public Schools, released a statement Monday on the shooting:
I am heartbroken and angered by the senseless violence that continues to impact innocent young lives in our community. My prayers and deepest sympathies go out to the families of Damionna Reed of OCPS ACE and Cameron Bouie from Pine Hills Elementary. This is the third child who has died from Pine Hills Elementary in the last three months, the second from senseless gun violence. We can not accept that these tragedies have become all too common in our community. This will not stop until we all work together to end these appalling tragedies from occurring in our community.
District 5 City Commissioner Regina Hill told News 6 it was an unimaginable situation.
“It’s heart wrenching to wake up to his horrific news of a family and a child being murdered here on Resurrection Sunday, Easter Sunday. Thinking where they would be having possibly a family gathering and an Easter egg hunt that I’m sponsoring right there in Parramore, and a child losing their life, just a family losing their life, is unimaginable,” she said.
The officers involved were wearing cameras that were on during the incident; per policy, the department intends to release the footage within 30 days. The officers were not injured and will be placed on paid administrative leave, following protocol, as the Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigates. The State Attorney’s Office will also conduct an investigation, as will the Orlando Police Department internally, a news release states.
