LONGWOOD, Fla. – A Seminole County Sheriff’s Office employee, who deputies said was a victim of a possible road rage incident Thursday in Longwood, had a bullet pass through one of their vehicle’s windows.
Florida Department of Transportation video captured deputies responding to a scene on State Road 434 under the Interstate 4 overpass.
Video from the scene shows a bullet hole on the side of an unmarked vehicle, which appeared to be heading west on S.R. 434.

According to an update Friday from the sheriff’s office, an investigation found that “no activities were occurring that would suggest a road rage incident; however, a bullet had gone through the driver-side window of our employee’s vehicle.”
The employee sustained minor injuries from broken glass but was not taken to a hospital, the sheriff’s office said.
News 6 spoke with a resident who said they noticed “a ton of traffic, more than normal.”
“I saw at least 10-12 undercover, what looked like undercover cars, a couple of vans parked in spots. Cops walking around everywhere,” Chip Brooke said.
Brooke said road rage incidents are seen “all the time” and called it “concerning.”
“I’m always somewhat alert of what could happen out there but the thought of being shot at is definitely probably scarier than most thoughts I have when I’m on the road,” Brooke said. “... You don’t really think you’re gonna ever catch a stray bullet. I do drive my son to school, yeah, I mean I guess that’s one extra thing I can add on to the list to be worried about in this day and age.”
It’s not known if any arrests were made and no suspect or vehicle description was immediately available.
An investigation continues regarding whether the shooting was accidental or intentional, according to the sheriff’s office.
