ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – A Florida officer was arrested after police said she stole prescribed pain medication from a person on probation in Altamonte Springs.

Police said they responded to a theft involving a Florida Department of Corrections probation officer Sunday night at Los Altos apartment community in Altamonte Springs.

When police arrived, they found probation officer Elizabeth Ann Holliman exiting the victim’s apartment wearing street clothes without law enforcement credentials, according to the department.

As officers approached her, they said she tried to hide in a corner of the building while fidgeting in her pockets.

Hydrocodone pills were found on the ground where Holliman was standing, officers said.

According to police, Holliman told them she had been visiting the victim to discuss early probation termination, but wasn’t able to explain the pills.

She faces charges for larceny grand theft of a controlled substance, obstructing justice tampering with evidence and drug possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
