SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – A man was arrested on Sunday after being accused of molesting and harassing women along Kewannee Trail in Seminole County, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies said that they were called to Flaming Arrow Court in Casselberry around 9:01 a.m. on Friday after receiving reports about a “suspicious incident” that happened along the trail nearby.

Upon arrival, they found a woman, who explained that she had been walking on the trail when she came across a man who told her “Hi mami” with a Spanish accent, deputies said.

She then moved away from the man, though she told him that what he did was wrong, deputies said. According to the woman, the man apologized and said he didn’t think she would be scared, walking away toward Kewannee Park shortly afterward.

On Sunday, Casselberry police responded to the trail around 7:18 a.m. after receiving a report about a battery in the area, police said in an arrest report.

The victim in that case told officers that she had been walking on the trail when a man stopped in front of her and she felt her breast being touched, police said.

According to the victim, she was shocked and asked, “Did you touch my breast?” and the man responded, “No.”

A witness also reported that a man had approached her on the trail, grabbing himself and stating, “Do you want some of this?” the report shows.

According to the report, the witness said she asked the man what was wrong with him, telling him that she was going to call police. He said that he didn’t care, though the witness soon after saw him approach the victim.

Law enforcement officers were eventually able to identify the man in both cases as Dakota Thompson, 27, who was found walking the trail nearby, police said.

Investigators said that Thompson explained he was living out of his car parked at a Wawa, and he had walked the trail around three times “since hanging around Wawa.”

Thompson added that the last time he remembered being on the Kewannee Trail was a few months prior, police said.

Thompson faces charges of battery and battery on a person 65 years of age or older. He was later released on a bond of $8,500.
