ORLANDO, Fla. – A man was shot and wounded Thursday night in Orlando, less than a week after a shooting at the same apartment complex left a woman dead and three others wounded, according to police.
The shooting took place around 8:45 p.m. at the Jernigan Gardens Apartments, formerly known as Windsor Cove, in the 1400 block of Mercy Drive.

According to Orlando police, the victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition, and one person was detained at the scene. Police later said Demeras Lenard Clark, 37, was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
No other details, including information about the victim, have been released.
The shooting comes just days after 22-year-old Macayla Patterson was fatally shot at the complex. Delray Duncan, 23, was arrested in connection with the shooting on charges of first-degree murder and attempted homicide.
