ORLANDO, Fla. – A carjacking in the Rosemont area ended with a shooting at a major downtown Orlando intersection, a man in the hospital and two people arrested, Orlando police said.
Police arrested DeKayla Gray and Kevin Johnson on Monday. Officers said Gray, Johnson and a third, unidentified man lured the victim to the Rosemont Community Center Monday for a deal involving fraudulent credit cards.

According to the arrest affidavit, instead of making the deal, Johnson and the third man forced the victim at gunpoint back into his car, and Gray and Johnson drove the victim around to find a place where he could get money for them. Police said the third man followed in another vehicle.

Investigators said when they all got to Rosalind Avenue and Central Boulevard, the victim tried to escape. There was a fight and shots were fired. The victim was shot in the leg and taken to a hospital. A nearby Lynx bus was also shot at, but no one on the bus was hurt.
Using surveillance video and the victim’s information, police were able to track Gray and Johnson down to an apartment on Jefferson Street, records show.
Gray and Johnson face charges of attempted first-degree murder, kidnapping with intent to commit a felony and carjacking with a firearm.
Both were denied bond by a judge Tuesday.
