Suspect arrested in fatal Christmas Day shooting at Café Lungo in Osceola County, sheriff says

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A suspect has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a man on Christmas Day at Café Lungo in Osceola County.

Sheriff Marcos Lopez announced the arrest of Gabriel Alberto Correa, 26, at a news conference Thursday afternoon.

According to deputies, Terrell Williams was shot at Café Lungo, located at 3262 Vineland Road.

The sheriff’s office released an image of a person of interest in the days after the shooting. Lopez said the person of interest in the picture is Correa, adding that witness statements, additional surveillance video and more evidence led to detectives determining Correa was the suspect.

Correa was arrested in Polk County and interviewed at a Polk County Sheriff’s Office substation. Lopez said Correa admitted to the shooting in the interview.

Lopez said investigators are still looking into what led to the altercation between Correa and Williams, and the shooting. Lopez said the two had no relationship previously.
