Ocala police looking for suspect accused of shooting, injuring another man

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Ocala police are looking for a 31-year-old man that is accused of shooting and injuring another man on Saturday morning, according to a news release.

Police said they responded to the Berkeley Pointe Apartments located at 2833 NE 7th Street in reference to a shooting around 1:30 a.m.

According to the release, responding officers found a crime scene in the parking lot, but the victim and suspect were no longer at the scene.

Police said that shortly after the shooting, a victim with non-life-threatening gunshot injuries arrived at a hospital and was confirmed to be from Berkeley Pointe.

“During the investigation, detectives determined that there is probable cause for the arrest of Kadrian Lewuan Clayton, 31, for first-degree attempted murder,” the release read in part.
