PALM BAY, Fla. – Palm Bay police are looking for a 25-year-old woman they said is “missing under suspicious circumstances.”

Police said Marissa Garcia was last seen on Dec. 23 in the area of Pinewood Drive Northeast in Palm Bay.

According to a news release, Garcia was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white shirt. She is described as weighing 100 pounds with blue eyes and red hair.

Police said Garcia has the word “Rainey” tattooed near the left side of her collarbone.

The release did not state why police think Garcia’s disappearance is suspicious.

Tuesday, Garcia’s aunt, who said she reported her niece missing, told News 6 reporter James Sparvero it wasn’t like the mother of four to avoid contact with her family.

“We had talked to her on the 19 of December and she was going to have a meeting with her kids that following Friday, and on the 30, we got a call from her sister stating that she hasn’t been seen since the 23 of December,” Doreen Harper said.

Police in the last week told News 6 there are no updates to the investigation.

“Everything that I came up with, it just wasn’t adding up,” Harper said of the suspicious nature of her niece’s disappearance. “She has not returned any of our phone calls. She may not call me right away, but she will always answer her mother.”

If you have information about Garcia you can provide an anonymous tip to Crimeline by calling 800-423-8477. Harper said you could be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.

“Just please, just please say something,” Harper said directed to anyone who knows what happened. “She matters. She’s a mother. She is a niece. She’s a daughter. She’s a sister. She’s a human being.”

A GoFundMe was created for Garcia, according to the page.
