ORLANDO, Fla. – More than two years after his mysterious disappearance, the sister of Bryan “Vladek” Hasel is taking matters into her own hands in her family’s quest for answers.

Bethany Hasel, a veterinarian technician, distributed 300 flyers at the Veterinary Meeting & Expo (VMX) at the Orange County Convention Center on Monday with the hope of garnering new leads in the search for her brother.

“There is estimated to be close to 30,000 people in attendance from all over the country and the world. If even half take just a moment to share his flyer on social media, we may finally reach the one person who holds the key to his case,” Bethany Hasel told News 6.

Bryan Hasel, who goes by Vladek, was last seen on CCTV and body cam footage at Foxtail Coffee Co on University Boulevard in Orlando on Nov. 6, 2021. The last time anyone reported seeing Vladek was at his apartment complex, the Place at Alafaya, more than a week later on Nov. 15, 2021.

Vladek was 22 when he disappeared, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

His family held a vigil in November 2023 to observe the two-year mark of his disappearance. According to his father, Vladek served in the U.S. Marines, and the family chose to host the vigil at St. Joseph Catholic Church near Waterford Lakes because they say it was a place he loved to visit.

Hasel believes her brother may no longer be in Central Florida and said he had friends in the Dallas area from the time he was in the Marines. She described Vladek as a outgoing and friendly person who’s always eager to strike up conversations with strangers.
