MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Two overnight crashes in Marion County left four people in the hospital — three of whom were taken as trauma alerts, according to Marion County Fire Rescue.
In a release, fire officials said the first crash happened shortly after 8 p.m. on Thursday in the 1400 block of Northwest 42nd Place.

The 911 caller reported that two vehicles had collided in a “T-Bone” crash, which caused the southbound lanes of State Road 441 to shut down, the release shows.
Fire officials explained that one person was taken to the hospital as a trauma alert, and another was transported as a “non-emergency.”
The next crash happened around 12:11 a.m. on Friday in the 6500 block of South Pine Avenue, fire officials added.
Following the crash, first responders were forced to rescue a victim from a vehicle, though the extrication took around 30 minutes due to the heavy damage, the release says.
In the end, two patients from that crash were taken to the hospital as trauma alerts, according to the MCFR.
