Buckley was wanted in connection to the death of 36-year old Jeremiah Aguirre, whose body was found by his relatives on Saturday after he was shot the evening of Jan. 25, deputies said.

Detectives cite interviews and evidence collected to claim Buckley went to Aguirre’s home in Lauderdale Court, forced entry and shot him twice because of “jealousy over a woman.”

Buckley faces charges of first-degree murder and armed burglary with assault/battery, according to the release. Investigators have also since recovered a firearm that they are working to confirm as a possible murder weapon, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said.

“I want to acknowledge not only the great work by our Homicide detectives, but also the Winter Park Police Department in capturing our murder suspect,” Judd said in a statement. “With this arrest, a very dangerous man is now locked up.”
