BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A Palm Bay woman was arrested last week after deputies chased her across Brevard and Indian River counties, according to the Indian River Sheriff’s Office.
In an arrest affidavit, deputies said they responded to County Road 510 and Highway A1A around 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 7 after receiving reports about a stolen vehicle.

Upon arrival, they were informed that the driver — later identified as Krishna Janosky, 29 — had rammed the gate at the Patrick Space Force Base.
Once on the base, Janosky reportedly got out of her car along with her 4-year-old son, placing him in another vehicle nearby, deputies said.

The owner of that vehicle was still in the driver’s seat when Janosky got in, but he was asked to get out by staff on the base, leaving Janosky in the front seat and allowing her to flee in it, the affidavit says.
Brevard County deputies began chasing Janosky into Indian River County, where deputies spotted the stolen vehicle driving south along Highway A1A, according to the affidavit.
Deputies deployed two sets of stop sticks, causing the stolen vehicle to veer onto the shoulder and sidewalk, where deputies “pinched in” the vehicle and brought it to a halt, investigators explained.
After coming to a stop, Janosky got out and tried to get back into the vehicle through the back seats, though deputies managed to handcuff and detain her, the affidavit shows.
Deputies said that Janosky’s son was found in the back seat, and he was removed and watched by deputies until another family member could retrieve him.
Then, deputies began speaking to Janosky to get her personal information, but she suddenly said, “I know what I did was wrong,” the affidavit says.
The affidavit states that Janosky told deputies the following:
Krishna began making statements that she was at a hotel in which Veterans were present but was fearful of them not knowing if they were there to help her or not. Krishna then went on to state she left the hotel with her four-year-old son.
Krishna stated she got to the base and followed the vehicle in front of her. She was then directed to pull over and fearful of what “they” were going to do to her she got into the man’s vehicle. Krishna advised she took her son out of her vehicle and placed him into this male subject’s vehicle. She got into the front passenger side seat and ducked down. The male was removed from the vehicle so she got into the front driver seat and drove off. Krishna stated she did not know the male subject, but he gave her permission to take it.

However, deputies said the vehicle was reported as “carjacked” at the base by Janosky.
Janosky also told deputies that the gate hadn’t been opened for her when she drove through, and she was aware of the deputies chasing her, but she “did not pull over due to fear,” the affidavit says.
Janosky was ultimately arrested and taken into custody. She faces charges of fleeing, grand theft auto and child neglect, and is held on a bond of $75,000.
