Light Orlando partners with nonprofit to distribute food bags as part of love week

Distribution set for 2 p.m. on W. Church Street

ORLANDO, Fla. – Light Orlando continues to get results the fifth day in a row as part of love week.

With the help of volunteers and students from Edgewater High School’s Key Club, they were able to pack dozens of bags of full of groceries.

Light Orlando partnered with The Desire Foundation run by Jennifer Hilaire, a local college student. The Desire Foundation is a nonprofit that focuses on helping communities with low-income families.

Hilaire said all the bags will be for the people who live in the Parramore neighborhood.

Distribution is taking place Friday at 2 p.m. on W. Church Street near Inter&Co Stadium.
