Drug ‘parties’ held at Orlando event center, sparking 5 arrests

Suspects face charges of drug trafficking and possessing psilocybin

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Five people were arrested earlier this month after an investigation into an illegal drug “pop-up,” according to the Orlando Police Department.

In a release, police said they executed a search warrant on Feb. 18 at 7221 Curry Ford Road — the site of the Encima Orlando Event Center.

“The investigation found that Encima Orlando Event Center had been hosting illegal narcotics distribution parties at their location, utilizing armed security guards to keep their sales private,” the release reads.

Detectives said the search yielded the following:

  • 11 handguns
  • $9,000 in “proceeds from criminal activity”
  • Over 330 pounds of cannabis
  • Over 130 pounds of THC products
  • Over 120 pounds of psilocybin

As a result of the investigation, police said they arrested five people, all of whom face charges of trafficking in cannabis with a firearm, possession of psilocybin, and resisting an officer without violence.

The five suspects are as follows:

  • Kristianna Abbuhl
  • Kristian Hernandez
  • Jeremias Murphy-Perez
  • Julian Perez
  • Kristopher Santana

No additional information was provided, including the roles each of the five suspects played that led to their arrests.
