KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Gaylord Palms Resort is welcoming in the spring season with the 64-acre resort playing host to “Spring it On.”
The springtime celebration kicks off March 8 with events happening on select dates throughout the month. The resort will once again be decked out for Easter with oversized painted eggs, springtime animal encounters, a family scavenger hunt and visits with the Easter Bunny.

Below is a full “Spring it On” lineup of special events and activities:
- Bountiful Easter Buffet Dining Experiences (March 31): On Easter Sunday, Villa de Flora will have more than 10 stations featuring favorites including a chef-crafted action station with pasta and slow-braised short ribs, a children’s dining station, a carving board with herb-crusted leg of lamb and horseradish-crusted prime rib, jumbo shrimp cocktail and freshly shucked cold-water oysters, a delicious selection of house-made desserts, and more. - “Luminosity” Light Show (Begins March 8): The resort’s animated light curtains will come to life in vibrant color on the atrium’s glass ceiling in a brand-new show “Luminosity”. Backed by an original musical score, the show is a celebration of light featuring flashes of lightning, the soft glow of fireflies and moonlit gardens, soothing beach sunsets, sparkling fireworks, and more. The complimentary show can be viewed throughout the atrium, and by guests who book select atrium-view rooms.
- Egg-ceptional Egg Expedition: Larger-than-life Easter eggs highlight the Eggspression Garden, a themed walk-through experience inside the atrium. Welcomed by a giant Easter egg archway, guests tour the trail that features plenty of springtime photo spots for that perfect picture to share with friends and family.
- A Spring Rainbow of Colorful Flowers: Daffodils, tulips, and other springtime flowers will adorn the atrium providing a colorful backdrop for a relaxing stroll through the trail’s indoor ecosystem.
- Water Park Parties and Drive-In Movies: Celebrate the warm weather at “Sunshine Splash Bash.” On select days at Cypress Springs Water Park, a DJ will spin tunes and keep the party going with non-stop energy. In the evenings on select nights, the zero-entry pool at Cypress Springs also becomes the best seat in the house for “Dive-In Movies,” featuring family favorite films on the pool’s giant video wall.
- Meet the Easter Bunny (March 23-24, March 30-31): Mr. & Mrs. Easter Bunny will visit for guest meet-and-greets along the Eggspression Garden Trail.
- Spring Into Relâche Spa: The full-service spa is offering an ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Rose Facial, a radiance-boosting facial that will leave skin feeling firm, hydrated, and rejuvenated
- Find Hidden Treasure in a Pirate Escape Room Experience: Set sail on a springtime adventure. Captain Hornswaggle’s wife, Emerald, has recruited guests to her crew to pillage the Captain’s quarters and claim his most valuable treasure. A series of puzzles, games, and riddles reveals the treasure’s secret location, challenging guests to solve them before the Captain returns and makes them walk the plank.
- Kids Springtime Scavenger Hunt: Young guests and families can hop on a springtime search in the new “Adventure Kids: The Hunt for Hidden Treasure” scavenger hunt. Adventure Kids Sophie and Mason provide clues to find gems hidden in the atrium. Families can work together and follow clues during the at-your-own-pace activity. Guests who complete the quest receive a surprise to help celebrate their puzzle-solving prowess.
- Meet Famous Wildlife: In the Everglades atrium, guests can meet some of Florida’s famous wildlife, like snakes and alligators, and learn how these amazing animals adapt to springtime weather while helping the state’s ecosystem.
- Search for AR Animals in Mobile Game: Gaylord Palms Resort will transform into a virtual animal safari for families to discover and learn about endangered animals in Wildlife Rescue, a game played at the resort that tracks animals from around the globe. The adventure, which takes place in a free app on guests’ smartphones, brings each animal to life via augmented reality (AR) and allows guests to pose for a photo with their new wildlife discovery.
