The U.S. Census Bureau has released its most recent data for migration flows by county, which spans from 2016-2020.
During this time, more than 350,000 people moved to Central Florida from other states and counties in Florida.

However, over 270,000 people moved away from Central Florida, the data shows.
According to the data, over 170,000 of those who moved out of Central Florida relocated to other parts of the state.
Outside of Florida, the top destinations for those moving from the region were other southern states Georgia, Texas and North Carolina.

An estimated 12,443 people moved from Brevard County to other areas of Florida — primarily Broward, Orange and Hillsborough counties.
Outside of Florida, nearly 14,000 people moved out of the county. The top five states for migration from Brevard County were as follows:
