Timber Creek High School in Orange County cleared after search for suspicious person

Parents told to go to Tanja King Park for law enforcement updates

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – The lockdown has been lifted at an Orange County high school after deputies were sent in to search for a suspicious person.

Timber Creek High School was locked down Tuesday after authorities received reports about the person nearby.

Orange County sheriff’s deputies “secured a perimeter” around the school, officials posted on X, and searched the campus. However, deputies said no suspicious person was found.

Timber Creek High School leaders had urged people to avoid the area and for parents to go to Tanja King Memorial Park to wait for updates from law enforcement.

The school’s principal has sent a voice message to families as well.

The school is now resuming normal operations.
