Deadly train collision investigated in Seminole County

Fatal collision happened near 25th Street, Old Lake Mary Road

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – A person died after being struck by a train in an unincorporated area of Sanford, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.

The collision happened around 9:40 a.m. Monday in the area of 25th Street and Old Lake Mary Road.

Deputies said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, but they have not released any information about the person’s identity.

Investigators said the death is believed to be an accident.
