LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – Lake County deputies are on the lookout for two suspects who reportedly stole about $2,000 worth of copper wire from an electrical contractor near Sorrento.

The suspects hit L.E. Myers along State Road 46 just after midnight Tuesday, the sheriff’s office said on social media.

Surveillance stills show the two individuals wearing hooded sweatshirts — one of them wearing shorts as the other wore pants — removing wooden rolls of copper wire located near the entrance to the business’ property.

A business representative told investigators that he was not sure exactly how much copper was stolen, approximating the value at $2,000, which would constitute grand theft in addition to burglary of an unoccupied structure, a case report states.
