ORLANDO, Fla. – A large fire ripped through a two-story country-club house in Orlando, causing major damage to the home, fire officials said.
The fire broke out late Thursday in the 3800 block of Ventura Place at Ventura Country Club.
Orlando fire officials said flames were shooting through the roof of the home when crews arrived.
“The heavy tile roof and structural elements of the second-story floor were significantly compromised by the fire,” officials said in a statement to News 6.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.
One person was displaced by the blaze, fire officials said.
A News 6 viewer shared photos of the fire, with flames burning the roof and smoke billowing into the air.
The same viewer sent in more photos showing the aftermath of the fire.
In these images, the inside of the home and charred fixtures within are left exposed, now clearly visible beneath where the home’s roof was burned away.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
