UCF releases plans for Roth Tower expansion project. Here’s what’s expected

ORLANDO, Fla. – UCF has released more details of a stadium renovation project for Roth Tower.

The new plans call for creating more than 1,200 new club seats, 25 luxury boxes, 25 lodges and adding about 60,000 square feet.

The cost is estimated to be $88 million.

The Board of Trustees said that after joining the Big 12 in 2023, it wanted to find ways to make UCF Athletics both competitive and profitable.

UCF said the stadium tower expansion project will help increase “significant revenue potential for UCF Athletics through higher-priced ticket packages, premium food and beverage sales, and sponsorship opportunities associated with these premium areas.”

“I enjoy it. I used to play sports growing up, so I definitely think it’s worth it, especially like for women’s sports, having the facilities is just nice,” said student Karen Prado.

UCF said the county commission will be scheduled to sign off on the plan no later than June 2024.
