POINCIANA, Fla. – A man was shot and killed by his neighbor Tuesday during a fight in Poinciana, according to the Osceola County sheriff.
The fatal shooting happened around 10:30 a.m. on Birmingham Drive off Monterey Road between Laurel Avenue and Poinciana Parkway.
Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez said the neighbors got into an argument when one of them pulled out a gun, fired several shots and struck the other man.
The man who was shot was taken to a hospital, but he later died, Lopez said.
The neighbor who opened fire was detained, and the gun was recovered, officials said.
It’s not known what led to the altercation or if the man will face charges.
