POINCIANA, Fla. – A Poinciana man was arrested Monday in the shooting death of his neighbor earlier this month, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said.

Raymond Ventura, 34, was served an arrest warrant at the Osceola County Jail, where he was already being held in connection with the April 2 shooting.

Deputies say Ventura was arguing with the victim, Connell Adman, his neighbor, along an area of Birmingham Drive, off Monterey Road between Laurel Avenue and Poinciana Parkway. They say Adman was shot several times in a driveway. He was taken to an area hospital where he was declared dead.

Ventura was detained and held with no bond on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

On April 5, the medical examiner’s office ruled Adman’s death a homicide.

Ventura is now also facing charges of premeditated murder, discharging a firearm in public, and carrying a concealed firearm during the commission of a felony.
