Kissimmee police announced Pena’s disappearance last week, reporting she had last been seen by her family on April 6 near Pesca Drive and Baleno Lane.

She was reportedly driving a blue 2009 Nissan Sentra, though the car was eventually discovered on Friday near a wooded area in Osceola County.

While searching the wooded area, investigators found two remains — one of which had clothing that was “consistent” with Pena, police added.

Despite the identification on Monday, the couple’s cause of death has yet to be determined.
