Bag of snakes found inside passenger’s pants at Florida airport

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A bag of snakes was discovered inside of a passenger’s pants at an airport checkpoint in Florida on Friday, according to the Transportation Security Administration.

In a release, TSA officials said that officers at the Miami International Airport detected the bag hidden inside the passenger’s pants, prompting a call to Customs and Border Patrol.

CBP agents and Miami-Dade police turned up to help with the case, and the snakes were eventually turned over to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Images released by the TSA show the snakes were small and light-colored, having been stashed away in a camouflage-colored bag.

News 6 has reached out to the FWC and Miami-Dade police, and is awaiting a reply.

No information was provided about the reason why the snakes were hidden or whether the incident resulted in any charges.
