Low rain chances, feels like triple digits in Orlando for Memorial Day weekend

Rain chances increase on Tuesday

ORLANDO, Fla. – Temperatures continue to soar into the mid-to-upper 90s for our holiday weekend.

Afternoon highs Sunday climb to 96 with winds from the southwest at 5-10 MPH. Rain chances remain low at 10%.

The best chance of rain will be in Osceola and Brevard counties late this afternoon/early evening as our sea breezes collide. When you factor in the relative humidity, heat index readings will be in the low 100s.

If you get caught in a rip current, swim parallel to the shore until you feel the pull weaken.

If you’re heading to the beach for Memorial Day weekend, swim near a lifeguard. We’re looking at a moderate threat of rip currents. If you get caught in a rip current, swim parallel to the shore until the current releases you.

Afternoon high on Monday reach around 97. It will feel closer to 105. Rain chances will be low again at 10%.

On Tuesday a cold front drops into Central Florida, increasing our rain chance to 50%.

By Wednesday, the chance of rain drops to 40%. Afternoon showers then remain in the forecast daily through next weekend.
