KISSIMMEE, Fla. – A big change is coming to Kissimmee.
Everest Place Managing Director Khalid Muneer showed News 6 the plans for what he says is the second-largest development under construction right now in Central Florida.
“This project is going to bring billions of dollars of economic impact to Kissimmee and create many high-paying jobs,” Muneer said.
It’s a $1.5 billion resort on 217 acres located in Kissimmee at the intersection of 1-92 and the 429 Toll Road.
It will feature a luxury Middle Eastern resort called Mysk and the Nickelodeon Resort.

Among the national brand shopping and hotels all along the busy strip are small local businesses.
Lisa Tariq, who owns the Tick Tok diner just a couple of miles away from where the Nickelodeon Resort is being built, said they will benefit from having more tourists in the area. She said tourists enjoy the local cuisine as well as big-name brands — and that it will be good for local businesses.
“They want to go to mom and pops. We are family-owned, so I think it helps very much in that sense,” Tariq said.
Everest Place will not be just for tourists.
“Restaurants and shopping are the keywords for this hundred thousand square feet commercial development so it will have attractions for locals as well as visitors,” Muneer said.
The first phase of Everest Place is scheduled to open in 2026.
The entire project is expected to be completed in 10 years.
