According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were called Dec. 8 to the Waldorf Astoria Orlando for a death investigation. Deputies said a woman was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head.

Sheriff’s officials said initial information suggested the death was a possible suicide, but “the situation didn’t seem quite right” and a homicide investigation was launched, with Saluja named as the suspect.

Information from the investigation was given to the State Attorney’s Office, which put the case before the grand jury.

The grand jury indicted Saluja, and she was arrested.

No other details, including the specific nature of their relationship, have been released.
