Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity to host Phrozen Jewel 5K Run in Orlando

Lawrence Davis joins ‘Breakfast with Bridgett’

ORLANDO, Fla. – Every morning on Breakfast with Bridgett, there’s interesting interviews and information to plan your day.

Thursday, the special feature was a local fraternity hosting a 5K race to raise money for its mentorship program.

Lawrence Davis from Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. gave us a preview of this weekend’s Phrozen Jewel Run. He also explained how the proceeds benefit Young Men of Distinction, YMOD, a year-round mentoring program for young men.

“We have our YMOD program, focused on boys 7th through 12th grade. This is helping these young men develop from a leadership standpoint socially as well as help them academically, also help them engage in the community and understand the importance of giving back,” Davis said.
