19-year-old killed, woman injured in Orange County shooting

Shooting happened in area of Pershing Avenue, Goldenrod Road

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A man was killed and a woman was injured early Tuesday morning in a shooting in Orange County, according to the sheriff’s office.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. on Pershing Avenue near Goldenrod Road.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said a 19-year-old man, identified as Angel Issak Martinez, and a woman in her 20s were found shot and then taken to the hospital, where the man was pronounced dead. The woman had non-life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies had Pershing Avenue shut down for an investigation. Video from the scene showed evidence markers around a vehicle.

The sheriff’s office did not release any other information, including whether they are searching for a gunman.
