Arrest made after shop robbed at gunpoint in Ocala, police say

Johnisaac Felix, 22, charged with armed robbery

OCALA, Fla. – New videos show Ocala police chase down, stun and arrest a man accused of robbing a convenience store at gunpoint earlier this month.

Johnisaac Felix, 22, faces charges of robbery with a firearm and resisting without violence, booking records show.

Ocala officers responded on June 16 to a report of an armed robbery at a Marathon convenience store, located at 3620 E. Silver Springs Blvd., the police department said on social media.

After dispatchers relayed a description of the suspect — identified by police as Felix — an officer believed he saw the 22-year-old changing clothes near the Kingdom Revival Church just down the road. As the officer approached Felix and ordered him to stop, video shows Felix start to walk away, then run.

Another officer picked up the chase at Ocala Golf Club, according to the post, where she soon used her Taser to bring Felix down.
